The PhD scholars will have to appear for an examination in research methodology:

It includes Statement of the problems, Research approach, Hypothesis build-up & testing, Review of literature, Theoretical frameworks, Research designs, Tools of data collection, Data analysis, Statistical methods for analysis- SPSS, Chi-square test, etc.

The scholar will have to choose any two subjects from the following subjects. At the end of the course he/she has to appear for an examination.

Review of literature followed by a colloquium by an external expert. The topic should be other than that of the PhD topic

Applicants for Ph.D should have passed PET to qualify to undertake Doctoral Studies with University of Mumbai. Please go through Mumbai University website for upcoming PET programme.
